Nineteen of the Russian's 21 championships have been earned on hard courts

A revitalized Medvedev won his maiden trophy for 882 days with success over opponent Moutet in the competition title decider.

The athlete, a former number one, has endured a torrid period, achieving just one match at the big events and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.

Medvedev's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and issues with his serve in specific - led to him exiting of the elite rankings and finally separating with former coach Cervara.

Now collaborating with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, he has gradually progressed in the last few weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over opponent Moutet.

This represents Medvedev's maiden trophy since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface since March of 2023.

Success also indicates the Russian has won twenty-one championships at twenty-one various events.

"For the first time I am participating in a tournament with my children simultaneously, so to secure a trophy is especially meaningful," said ranked player Medvedev.

"This title is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the first title I won when my first daughter her name was delivered was for her."

The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his past six championship matches, including in that event previously this season.

His retrieving strategy and frequent emotional displays on the playing surface had caused some to question if his ability to perform at the elite level was over.

Yet the player has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, making an effort to advance forward and perform aggressively, reinforced by an enhanced serving game.

The champion recovered from a break down in the initial set against the challenging Frenchman, securing four of the final five games to gain the advantage.

Both players exchanged breaks in the middle set before the challenger, striving for his first tour title, gained dominance to force a decider.

The opponent rescued four initial chances in a close third set before Medvedev broke to fifteen to secure the win.

Suitably, he secured victory with a point at the front of the court, with the Frenchman failing to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
